This music was made by Yvan & I in the 90's, in order to prepare and introduce our concerts with Peeping Tom, a motley pop band led by Yvan that I joined in december 1995.
Yvan was one year older than me, and we immediately got very close. It was difficult not to, actually. Yvan was a very sweet hearted man, who played 12-strings guitar (like me) and used to write incredibly catchy songs. He died quite suddenly in 2000 at the age of 30; from a rare autoimmune disease.
He loved cats and was obsessed with the colour blue. He had the magic to gather all sort of people around him, it was a gift to know a gentleman such as him. He'll remain our angel, to me and the people who knew him, for EVER.
This session was made in Studio 24 at Nîmes' academy of music. My teacher was Bruno D'Auzon at the time, so I had access to the electroacoustic studio, where Yvan recorded his flying high guitar chords and effects, while we were playing tape loops, using mic-stands and Revox tape recorders.

Cette musique a été réalisée par Yvan et moi dans les années 90, afin de préparer et d'introduire nos concerts avec Peeping Tom, un groupe pop hétéroclite dirigé par Yvan que j'ai rejoint en décembre 1995.
Yvan avait un an de plus que moi et nous nous sommes immédiatement rapprochés. En fait, c’était difficile de ne pas le faire. Yvan était un homme très doux, qui jouait de la guitare 12 cordes (comme moi) et écrivait des chansons incroyablement entraînantes. Il est décédé subitement en 2000, à l'âge de 30 ans ; d'une maladie auto-immune rare.
Il adorait les chats et était obsédé par la couleur bleue. Il avait la magie de rassembler toutes sortes de gens autour de lui, c'était un cadeau de connaître un gentleman comme lui. Il restera notre ange, pour moi et pour les gens qui l'ont connu, pour TOUJOURS.
Cette séance a été réalisée au Studio 24 du conservatoire de musique de Nîmes. Mon professeur était Bruno D'Auzon à l'époque, j'avais donc accès au studio électroacoustique, où Yvan enregistrait ses accords et effets de guitare, pendant que nous jouions des boucles de bandes, à l'aide de pieds de micros et de magnétophones Revox.
